Mário Alves Vilela was a Brazilian voice actor best known for dubbing characters in the beloved sitcom Chaves. He's most famous for voicing Seu Barriga, the landlord who became one of the show's most iconic characters. He also voiced Nhonho, Seu Barriga's son, using a distinctly distorted voice to differentiate the character.

Vilela started his career at AIC, taking on smaller roles in various series before finding his breakthrough. In September 2003, he appeared on Sônia Abraão's talk show on SBT, where he met Edgar Vivar, the Mexican actor behind Seu Barriga's original performance—a notable moment for fans of the series.

He passed away on December 1, 2005, in São Paulo from a heart attack, following years of struggling with diabetes.
