Alan Ituriel is an animator, storyboard artist, director, and writer best known for creating Villainous, the darkly comedic series that became a major hit. He originally hails from Mexico.
Ituriel got into animation early and was working professionally by age 16, starting as an Art Director Assistant on the film Top Cat. College interrupted that trajectory—he had to step away from studio work to pursue his degree.
His big break came in 2014 when he caught the attention of industry folks at the IdeaToon Summit during Mexico's Pixelatl animation festival, which helped launch him toward the success he'd eventually find with Villainous.
