Saki's a psychic with a distinctly gothic aesthetic who can read people's auras and shoot out electric waves—what she calls denpa. She's best known for being fiercely protective of Tooru, who was basically the first person at school to genuinely accept her. Like Arisa, she's taken on an almost motherly role in their trio, though Kyou definitely isn't thrilled about that arrangement.
She's observant and polite, with an oddly endearing habit of always having food in her mouth outside of school hours. Her nickname Hana-chan plays into the whole flower motif (hana = flower in Japanese), which is pretty funny considering her manga symbol is a violet with fangs.
What's interesting about Saki is how accepting her family is of her abilities. Her younger brother Megumi actually developed his own psychic gift partly so she wouldn't be the only "weird one" in the household. Her mom's got that same protective, nurturing energy that Tooru has, which probably explains why Saki latched onto her so hard. She noticed Kazuma was handsome when he showed up for Kyou's parent-teacher conference—a detail that somehow matters to the dynamic.
