Shoji Honda
A minor character in Fruits Basket, Shoji is Tohru's grandfather and the widowed father of Katsuya Honda. He's notable mainly for being the one Honda family member who actually showed Kyoko—Tohru's mother—basic decency when everyone else shut her out. Later, he extends that same kindness to Tohru herself, especially as other relatives prove themselves less than welcoming.
He had another child as well, though she remains unnamed in the series. While he doesn't get much screen time, fans often appreciate him as one of the few genuinely good people in Tohru's life, even if he's stuck in the background of the larger story.
