KAORI is a Japanese voice actress born February 28, 1976, in Yokohama, Kanagawa. She's gone by a couple of different names over the years—she started out as Akiko Kawana, then switched to Midori Kawana before settling on KAORI (which combines characters from her previous surname and given name) around 2001.
Beyond voice acting, she's a member of the rock band SpunkyStrider. She's probably best known to anime fans for singing the lullaby in Pokémon: Jirachi Wish Maker; her vocals from that recording were reused in both the original Japanese and English dubs with 4Kids' permission.
