Pyunma came from somewhere in Africa—the exact location was never revealed. At 23, he was destined for slavery along with the rest of his tribe, but he managed to break free from his chains and escape. When slave traders cornered him and things looked hopeless, Black Ghost agents suddenly appeared and gunned down his pursuers. Instead of freedom, though, Pyunma found himself at gunpoint again, this time being forced onto a plane headed for a cybernetics laboratory.
