She was a Mexican actress and dubbing director best known for voicing Misato Katsuragi in the Latin Spanish dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion, plus iconic TV roles like Donna Martin in Beverly Hills, 90210, Libby Chessler in Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Cher Horowitz in Clueless. She also became the go-to voice for dubbing Brazilian actresses Giovanna Antonelli and Letícia Spiller across numerous telenovelas.
Her path into dubbing started while she was studying acting at the Sylvia Derbez Academy. A chance encounter at Churubusco studios changed everything—a dubbing director approached her, left his number, and after she called back to introduce herself, she was hooked on the work. Meeting actors whose voices she recognized on screen made the whole thing click for her. Donna Martin became her breakthrough and signature role; she was just 19 when she started recording it, and director Eduardo Tejedo took her under his wing, teaching her the craft of voice acting.
Beyond acting, she became a major figure in dubbing education. She founded and ran the children's dubbing school Doblaje Niños alongside Elsa Covián and Mario Heras, training young voice actors like Sebastián García, Sebastián Albavera, Danna Alcalá, and Juanpi Macías. She also co-founded the TOPaudio dubbing studio with her then-husband Gerardo Vásquez and Marcos Patiño.
Fluent in English and Greek, she handled translation work for the film The Taste of Life and performed theater in Greece. She died on April 22, 2021, at 51, from cancer.
