Azusa got his start young—he was trained in theatre from ages three to six, and by five had taken on the stage name Kinzou Azusa. He went on to build a career as a voice actor, eventually founding his own coaching foundation, Gekidan Geikyou, on May 1, 1962. The organization is now represented by Aono Takeshi. He passed away in 1997.
