A veteran Mexican dubbing actor with over 35 years in the industry, he's best remembered for bringing voices to some iconic animated and live-action characters. Joey Wheeler in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life, and Daggett in The Angry Beavers are among his most recognizable roles. He also voiced Professor Frink on The Simpsons and handled Ted Mosby's Spanish dubbing for How I Met Your Mother during seasons 5–8. On the live-action side, he was the voice behind Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
His family also made a mark in dubbing—he was the uncle of fellow voice actors Alfredo Leal, Miguel Ángel Leal, and Lupita Leal.
He died on September 17, 2017 from heart complications.
