A veteran Mexican dubbing actor and director with over 45 years in the industry. Beyond performing, he's spent decades working as a director, song adapter, and music director—basically a jack-of-all-trades in the dubbing world.
In the early 1980s, he relocated to Los Angeles with his wife, actress Rocío Garcel, and their son Jorge Roig Jr., who also became an actor. The couple got the chance to dub major Hollywood productions together, including Alien (where he voiced Chief Engineer Parker opposite Ripley) and Splash (where he played Freddie Bauer). They worked on numerous other films during their time in California.
Eventually the family moved back to Mexico City and continued their dubbing work there, establishing themselves as fixtures in the local industry.
