A surgical prodigy with an obsessive streak, he's known for his narcissism and relentless pursuit of physical perfection. What makes him genuinely unique is his ability to perform complex surgeries in about 30 minutes—procedures that normally take hours—all without a medical license. His skills are undeniably impressive, even if his methods are ethically questionable.
He gets his ass handed to him by Baki Hanma after Baki learns about all the people this guy has wronged. The irony? One of his own victims ends up saving his life by donating blood after the fight. Brutal.
During the tournament, he faces off against his younger brother Shinogi. Despite completely dominating him, he ultimately throws the match to let Shinogi advance—which is probably the most character growth he gets in the series. The wildest part of that fight is when Shinogi severs some of his nerve cords and blinds him mid-combat, so he just. surgically repairs himself right there in the ring while fighting.
Later on, he takes a medic role during the tournament matches. He tries to keep Jack Hammer clean off steroids, but Jack beats him down instead. Interestingly, they eventually develop a working relationship where he helps Jack find alternative methods to get stronger without the drugs.
He's the older brother of Shinogi.
