French Alexis Tickner
From Olney, Illinois, French Tickner built a solid career as a voice actor with the Ocean Group Company, becoming known for bringing older characters to life in anime dubs. He's best remembered for voicing grandfather roles—most notably Kagome's grandfather in InuYasha and Shinnosuke's grandpa in Ranma ½. Beyond the grandfatherly types, he also lent his voice to Dozle Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam, including the video game Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space.
Tickner passed away on August 26, 2021, on what would have been his 91st birthday.
