A Mexico City native, he's been working in voice dubbing since 1954—that's over sixty years of steady work in the industry. He got his start at R. K. Tompkins y Asociados and eventually became one of the most recognizable voices in Latin American dubbing, particularly famous for narrating Disney productions from the mid-1980s onward.

Early on, he worked alongside his brothers-in-law Edmundo Santos and José Manuel Rosano, starting as a personal assistant. When Santos passed away, he stepped into the role of dubbing director for most Disney projects through the late 1980s and has remained deeply involved with the company ever since as a director, translator, consultant, or creative manager.

In 1977, he became a shareholder in Grabaciones y Doblajes S.A.—better known as "Estrellita," named after Cuban actress Estrellita Díaz. The company was originally founded by Edmundo Santos, who'd been heading up Disney's Spanish dubbing since 1943. Beyond directing and acting, he's also worked as a musical director and occasional singer throughout his career. He's maintained a dual focus on voice work and commercial voiceovers, both of which he continues to do actively today.
