Nanami came into voice acting with the least experience of the group and basically no anime background. She wasn't particularly interested in anime at first, but gradually got pulled in by her fellow members.
Voice acting lessons were rough going initially—she was out of her depth with anime culture and doubted her own abilities. Things shifted once her character Hisami Nanami started taking shape. She actually began enjoying the work and caught the bug to pursue voice acting seriously. The anime song training was especially demanding since it was all new territory for her, but she pushed through.
Beyond voice acting, she's into chatting and plays flute. She's also into aromatherapy and psychological tests. Fried rice and apple pie are her go-to foods, and she apparently can't resist impulse buying—especially rings, which she collects.
Musically, she was the flute section leader in her middle school brass band. She also did classical ballet from age three until she was fifteen.
Rie Kugimiya is her favorite voice actress, specifically because of Toradora! —that was the first anime to make her cry, and she's said she learned a lot from studying Kugimiya's performance as Aisaka Taiga.
