Ueda studied at Doshisha University's Faculty of Policy Studies and was active in the sailing club during her time there. She got into voice acting after hearing Kazuya Nakai's narration work as a junior high student—it opened her eyes to how varied the profession could be. She trained at Aonijuku's Osaka campus and joined Aoni Production, landing her first credited role as Aki Himi in World Trigger.
Her breakthrough came through a series of character roles: Daizu in the 2017 anime Mameneko, Gold Ship in Uma Musume Pretty Derby (reprising the character from the game), Leyli Haltija in Warlords of Sigrdrifa, and Hakase Inukai in Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You – High School Days. She won the voice actor award at the 2021 Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards in March 2022 for her Gold Ship performance. More recently, she voiced Utsuro in Shy and took on the role of Granart in Tales of Wedding Rings in 2024.
Beyond voice acting, Ueda's skills include mochi pounding and air guitar.
