Gotou Yuuko is a voice actress best known for playing cute, vulnerable characters—which makes her real-life persona pretty hilarious. Born August 28, 1975 in Aichi Prefecture, she's a legitimate biker enthusiast who rides motorcycles and embraces biker culture in her everyday life. This contrast became such a running joke that Lucky Star's 23rd episode featured her as a parody caricature: a masculine, bousouzoku-styled version of herself called Gottouuza-sama.
She worked for Production Baobab and is a big Fist of the North Star fan; Souther is her favorite character. That actually inspired her Lucky Star nickname—Tomokazu Sugita started calling her "Gosouther-sama" or "Gotouza-sama" as a reference to both the character and her real personality.
Outside of voice acting, Gotou enjoys motorcycles, reading, traveling, and drinking. Blood type O.
In June 2012, she took an indefinite break from work to manage a rare autoimmune disease, living with her mother during her recovery.
