Alyssa Marek got her start in performance gymnastics with Houston's Show Team before studying classical acting at the University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance. After graduating, she co-founded Says Who? Productions alongside three classmates—an all-female led media company focused on supporting Houston's arts community.
By 2018, Marek was building a voice acting career with Sentai Filmworks (the rebranded ADV Films). She's best known for voicing Ruby Hoshino in Oshi no Ko, the anime adaptation of a series by the same creator behind Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Since then, she's voiced a range of characters across various projects.
