Luis Galindo teaches poetry and Shakespeare at the Alley Theatre in Houston, working with local students and teens in the juvenile corrections system. He's also a professional theatre actor and anime voice actor. His résumé reads like a series of odd jobs—Texas pipeliner, offshore oil rig worker, NYC bartender—before settling into performance and teaching. He's published two poetry and prose collections: Electric Rats in a Neon Gutter and the forthcoming Grace/Fury. An MFA graduate from the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program, Luis is known for his belief in alchemy, rock and roll, and the transformative power of language.
