Hiro Shimono is best known for voicing Mihashi Ren in Ookiku Furikabutte, a role that earned him the Best Male Newcomer award at the 2nd Seiyuu Awards. He's part of Trignal, a voice acting trio rounded out by Takuya Eguchi and Ryouhei Kimura, and the group hosts a radio show for the Kiramune label (now called Trignal no Kira☆Kira Beat R).
He married fellow seiyuu Yuka Nishigaki in May 2015—both work under the same agency.
