Orikasa Ai started out as a stage actress before becoming a prolific voice actress and singer. She was with Production Baobab for years until moving to Axl One in September 2011.
Her breakthrough came with Shoukoushi Cedie in 1988, but she's best known for bringing to life Pururun in Kyattou Ninden Teyandee, Ryouko in Tenchi Muyou!, and Quatre Raberba Winner in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. She also provided the Japanese dub voice for Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
When it comes to what she loves, Orikasa has pretty eclectic taste. She's into classic films like Ghost and Singin' in the Rain, ballads from the '50s and '60s, and pretty much any flower you can name. She's a dog person, loves Japanese food and sushi, and admires actors like Ken'ichi Ogata, Masako Nozawa, and Meryl Streep. Pale pink is her color.
Outside of voice work, she keeps busy with cooking—she's confident across Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines—golf, and looking after her dogs. She's also skilled at handicrafts, card handling, Japanese dance, and plays the saxophone.
