Samuel Brent Oscar Riegel is a voice actor, writer, and director known for his work across cartoons, anime, and video games. He got his start as a child actor in theater in Virginia before moving to New York City for Broadway and off-Broadway work. After graduating from the Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 1994 and later from the University of Virginia, he launched his voice acting career back in New York before eventually settling in Los Angeles.
He's best known for voicing Donatello in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series and as a core cast member of the hit web series Critical Role, which he's been part of since 2015. Beyond voice work, he's also written and directed projects throughout his career.
Riegel has two siblings: his older sister Tatiana S. Riegel and his younger sister Eden Riegel. He happened to be in New York City on September 11, 2001, and recorded footage of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
