Julie Ann Taylor grew up in Orange County, California and got her start in performance early—at seven years old, she played the Wicked Witch in her school's Wizard of Oz production (she'd actually been cast as Dorothy but switched roles because she wanted to do the voice work). Through high school and beyond, she performed in community theater and civic light operas, eventually joining The Young Americans Song and Dance Company for a brief tour before landing at UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television, where she earned her BA.
While based in Los Angeles, she worked with several theater groups including The Actors' Gang, Buffalo Knights Theatre Company, and Will & Company Shakespeare Troupe, plus the LA Music Center Education Division.
Her voice acting career took off in 1995 after studying voiceover with Kalmenson & Kalmenson, The Voicecaster, and Bob Bergen. She's since racked up over 100 credits in anime and video games—that's really where fans know her best. Beyond that, she's done looping work, movie trailers, audiobooks, online tutorials, and commercials.
