Hikaru Midorikawa broke into voice acting in 1988 with a role in Be-Bop Highschool and has since become one of Japan's most prolific and recognizable voice actors. Over two decades, he's racked up more than 200 anime credits and nearly 70 video game roles, and he's best known for voicing pretty-boy types—think Lancer in Fate/Zero, Rukawa Kaede in Slam Dunk, Kyousuke Natsume in Little Busters!, and Ayato Sakamaki in Diabolik Lovers, among many others.
Beyond the booth, Midorikawa is a dedicated gamer with a particular passion for Super Robot Wars. He's devoted enough to the franchise that he records bonus voice lines for his characters unpaid and occasionally helps beta-test upcoming releases. He maintains a blog on Banpresto's official Supalog site, one of only a handful of voice actors to do so, and runs his own personal blog as well. His other hobbies lean equally nerdy: he collects Nike running shoes and plays video games in his downtime. He's a Snoopy fan and favors comfort food like omelettes and stew.
